Gender Pay Gap Report
Summary

This article provides an update on our Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) reporting results for the 2023-24 period. It also covers our progress and ongoing commitment to gender equity at Hardie Grant. Hardie Grant is committed to fostering a workplace where all employees, regardless of gender, have equal opportunities for success. With a workforce that is 85% women, we have focused on policies that overcome traditional societal barriers for women, including fair pay, flexible work, paid parental leave (available for both parents), menstruation and menopause leave, and career opportunities that see women in key leadership positions throughout the business.

We are committed to pay equity—ensuring equal pay for comparable work (roles of similar skill, responsibility, and experience) across all roles. Even with this commitment, overall pay gaps (as measured by WGEA) can still arise due to uneven representation across different levels, for instance, the higher concentration of women in entry-level roles can impact the overall median salary; the small number of men in the business can impact the median and the mean.

While WGEA reporting focuses on overall gender pay gaps, we internally track pay parity—equal pay for equal work in comparable roles and with comparable experience. Our internal analysis confirms this parity at Hardie Grant
