Hardie Grant provides publishing, media, marketing and creative services to a diverse range of organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

As part of our normal business activities, Hardie Grant has commercial relationships with organisations operating in industries that B Lab identifies as requiring additional transparency. These relationships are assessed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to our Code of Ethics, Human Rights and Modern Slavery Policy, Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy, Conflict of Interest Policy, and client acceptance processes.

Clients in Controversial Industries

Hardie Grant has provided services to organisations operating in the following industries:

  • Mining

  • Pharmaceutical

  • Charity Lotteries

These engagements primarily relate to publishing, communications, marketing, content creation, research, creative services or other professional services. Hardie Grant does not own, operate or control businesses within these industries.

 

Limited Revenue from Certain Industries 

During the most recently completed financial year, Hardie Grant generated less than 1% of total consolidated revenue from clients operating in each of the following industries:

  • Defence

  • Fossil Fuels

  • Gambling

These engagements are limited in scope and do not represent a material component of Hardie Grant's business activities.

Hardie Grant is committed to conducting business responsibly and considers the potential social and environmental impacts of the organisations with which it works. We maintain governance processes designed to support ethical decision-making, compliance with applicable laws, respect for human rights, and alignment with our purpose of creating a positive impact through our work.

As part of our ongoing B Corp journey, we will continue to review our client portfolio, monitor industry exposure, and strengthen our policies and governance practices to support responsible business conduct.
