Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing is an award-winning specialist kids and YA publisher who values storytelling and creative thinking. We are seeking a full-time Rights Executive/Coordinator to join our dynamic international sales team. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who is excited to be part of a collaborative publishing group – they will be passionate about children’s books and connecting Australian stories to audiences around the world.
Working alongside the publishing team and reporting to the Senior Rights Manager, you will actively contribute to the focus and growth of the international rights and co-edition sales function, working collaboratively providing administration support, coordinating materials and events, and assisting with and managing defined territories.
- International rights and co-edition sales in territories including Eastern Europe, Scandinavia and the Middle East, as well as support for territories including the US and UK.
- Administrative support including fair coordination, contract review, publisher submissions/renewals and communication.
- Representing the rights team at various stakeholder meetings across the business.
We’re seeking an energetic, highly motivated team player who has a passion for children’s books and an interest in the international publishing world. A great communicator, with strong written and verbal communication skills, the role is perfect for someone who is highly organised and enjoys elements of deadline work that showcase your ability to adapt and deliver creative solutions. A background in publishing is desirable, yet ultimately a demonstratable focus on being part of delivering Australian creators to the world is crucial to succeed in this role.
