We currently have an exciting opportunity for a publisher to join our team to continue to build our successful narrative non-fiction list.

As publisher you will be responsible for commissioning a broad list of titles across memoir, current affairs, history, politics, biography, and narrative non-fiction, and will be comfortable working with both established names as well as first-time authors and emerging talents. You will be a natural at author management as well as selling their books within the business and to the book trade. You will also enjoy working with our editorial, design and production departments to bring the book from idea to finished copy. Most importantly you will have a natural flair for discovering stories and working closely with authors to create original, successful and thought-provoking books.

Reporting to the publishing director, and will work with a wider team of publishers, commissioners  and editors. You will strive to create market-leading, commercial books that tell stories, engage readers and set and reflect global issues and trends.

To succeed in this role you will have have experience in publishing (book publishing preferred but not essential), confident in editorial, be a great communicator and have experience with the written word in some form.  You will also be able to demonstrate:
• Impeccable organisational and editorial skills
• Good creative judgement
• The drive to maintain high editorial standards and work well within a team
• A love of words, equally balanced by an excitement for innovative design
