The Role

Hardie Grant Books is looking for a Production & Studio Co-ordinator to work across our award-winning books. The successful candidate will have some experience in a publishing and/or print production environment – note this is not a design or editorial position. 

All production is carried out in-house, so the tasks and requirements of the position are diverse and sometimes demanding. We produce a variety of books in different formats, from text-only paperbacks to four-colour illustrated books.

Requirements

• Outstanding administrative and organisational skills
• A solid understanding of book publishing and print production
• Experience with co-edition publishing would be a bonus 
• Proficiency in MAC Adobe InDesign, Acrobat and MS Office knowledge is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to learn new processes and skills quickly
