An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced media sales Account Manager to join our high-performance sales team representing the Virgin Australia magazine.
Reporting into the Sales Director, you will have experience and enjoy establishing relationships with both media agency and direct clients, that in turn allow you to provide seamlessly integrated media solutions and advertising campaigns to meet their needs. You will be a self-starter and have a high-level of autonomy with the support of a hands-on and collaborative Sales Director who is invested in your success.
You will actively seek out new opportunities, provide innovative proposals and work collaboratively with the sales and editorial teams to manage and deliver campaigns, whilst maintaining a high-level of competitor awareness. Your core-focus will centre on fuelling and managing sales pipeline activities that generate strong sales revenue through innovative magazine and digital solutions for your defined territory and portfolio of clients.
Through your multi-channel media sales experience, you will be accustomed to a fast-paced, deadline driven sales environment. Your refined skill set, industry experience and proven sales success will ensure you are well equipped to address and overcome objections that pave the way for new opportunity and success.
You’ll naturally open doors through your charismatic telephone manner that lets your great personality shine through. Through your ability to connect and engage with people you will schedule face-to-face meetings with clients where you can uncover their business goals before providing a tailored solution to meet their needs. You will enjoy being in the office and being out on the road attending client appointments.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, high-achiever with proven sales success and a great personality. You MUST have a minimum 4 years’ experience in print and digital advertising sales (outdoor / ambient media sales experience will be highly regarded) and current media agency connections.
Skills required for this role include:
- Able to identify new business and growth opportunities
- Ability to extract, interpret and respond to briefs
- Great communication and influencing ability
- Strategic, yet creative approach that is end-goal oriented
- Experience using Salesforce
- MS Office including excel, word and powerpoint
- Diligent and dedicated work ethic
