Working with key local and international licensed brands, authors and illustrators, you will lead, develop and manage a high-quality and commercially successful program of books for children and teens at HGE. This exciting role is suited to a seasoned professional with a flair for creative development, a strong background in product management, an affinity for children’s brands, and a high level of organisational and people skills.
Editor, Hardie Grant Egmont - Melbourne
Working alongside the Managing Editor and Publishing Director, you will edit and project-manage fiction and non-fiction titles for our children’s list from approved manuscript through to books in warehouse. Your duties will include copy-editing, proofreading, and reporting on submissions, as well as briefing illustrations and contributing cover ideas as needed. You’ll be a natural at author care and championing books in-house, and liaise regularly with our marketing and sales teams.
