Inventory Controller, Hardie Grant Publishing - Melbourne
Hardie Grant Publishing is an Australian-owned independent publisher, with its head office based in Richmond. We are looking for an inventory controller to join the Publishing Services team, to work across multiple divisions within the Hardie Grant Publishing business. This broadly inventory-based commercial role works closely with the product and sales teams in-house, managing much of the metadata uploaded to title and warehouse systems, and controlling and advising on stock flow. Along with product managers, you will oversee purchasing and will become an expert in fine tuning stock levels, from the release of a title all the way to the end of the product’s lifecycle. Your knowledge of stock risks, forecasting, the global supply chain, warehousing, as well as Hardie Grant’s products and the general book retail market will inform purchasing and stock clearance decisions.
Community and Audience Engagement Manager, HGB - Melbourne
Hardie Grant Books, one of the world’s leading non-fiction publishers is looking for a motivated and innovative thinker to join its busy marketing and publicity department. We are looking to transform the way we reach audiences globally, talk to readers, work with authors and foster communities of book lovers. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and improving market knowledge for Hardie Grant Books in Australia, the UK and USA, identifying new strategies for building databases and reaching readers directly through HGB digital assets, as well as identifying the best external marketing channels to reach readers. They will also work on select marketing campaign management and help educate authors on reaching their markets directly to drive sales and foster communities.
