Accounts Receivable Officer - HG, Melbourne

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join the finance team.  

As Accounts Receivable Officer you will be responsible for managing debt collection, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining financial records. The ideal candidate should have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, a keen eye for detail and an interest in supporting an innovative and creative business. 

Key Responsibilities: 
- Debt collection, including use and overseeing debt collection agencies as required and when engaged
- Invoice management
- Oversee and report on third-party distributor debtors management
- Weekly reporting on debtor status
- Debt write-off as approved and instructed Group Managing Director and/or Finance Director
- Produce daily bank reconciliations and manage weekly banking tasks including depositing cash and cheques at the nearest branch
- Collect mail and distribute it amongst the finance team
- Manage contra accounts for all companies 
- Balance inter-company accounts for all companies

Requirements: 
- Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software
- Experience with MYOB or QuickBooks Online is highly desirable
