David Mackintosh is a graphic designer, illustrator and art director, working in publishing, advertising and TV production. He has collaborated with some of the most celebrated names in children’s publishing, designing books and illustrating texts. His own picture books have been short and long listed for prizes such as the CBCA Picture Book of the Year, the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, the Kate Greenaway Prize and The Western Writers of America Spur Award. Marshall Armstrong Is New To Our School won the Hampshire Book Award 2011. His picture book Waiting for Chicken Smith was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Award. David lives in London where he likes drawing, papier maché and being read to.
