One of Australia’s oldest wine families, Henschke
is a name that is associated with some of the most revered wines in Australiana and the new world. In approaching this brief we knew we needed to create a content solution suited to the quality and class associated with the iconic Henschke brand. We wanted to tell a rich, layered story which honoured the six generations of Henschke family members who have contributed to the Hill of Grace legend while also appealing to an audience of passionate wine drinkers. Of equal importance was showcasing the stunning, sweeping landscapes of the 8-hectare Hill of Grace vineyard in South Australia.
We worked with our client to produce a lavish, evocative book featuring striking imagery and strong prose, which upholds the integrity associated with the Henschke brand. This work was crafted as not just a book but rather an object that has pride of place on any coffee table or bookshelf. In addition to telling a rich family history, the book also features tasting notes from previous Hill of Grace vintages and photography from local Barossa photographer Dragan Radocaj. The final product is a carefully curated balance of storytelling and beautiful images that together detail the impressive Henschke Hill of Grace story.
Sale of the book was divided between the Henschke cellar door and Hardie Grant Media to distribute into book stores. This varied distribution allowed the book to be circulated globally to a niche and passionate audience of wine enthusiasts. As well as being one of three finalists in the 2018 Wine Communicators Awards
