The truth about vermouth

State Library Victoria, in partnership with Hardie Grant Books and Maidenii, invites you and your guests to an exclusive vermouth-tasting to mark the publication of
The Book of Vermouth: A bartender and a winemaker celebrate the world’s greatest aperitif.

Join authors and co-owners of Maidenii, Shaun Byrne  and Gilles Lapalus, for a tasting of their award-winning range of vermouth made in Central Victoria with more than 15 Australian native botanicals.

The evening will feature an exclusive viewing of stunning botanical prints from the State Library’s collections, including illustrations from botanist Joseph Banks’ florilegium, created during Captain Cook’s voyage around Australia and the Pacific between 1769 and 1771.

The cocktail menu will be complemented by specially designed canapés created by food&desire.
