Having lived in Iran for the first nine years of her life, she returned as an adult to reconnect with the country she remembered so fondly. Her book is a celebration of that time; a compilation of memories, stories and beautiful recipes that underline the depth and broad appeal of this great and enduring food culture.

There will be Persian food to try along with a glass of wine.

Manuela will be in conversation with Barbara Sweeney.

Barbara Sweeney is the founder and organiser of Sydney's annual Food & Words Festival. She writes about food, farmers and artisan food producers. Barbara also reviews restaurants, judges regional food competitions and runs food events
