Pip Cummings

Pip Cummings has lived in New York since 2011, having fallen hopelessly in love with the vibrant city during a visit in 1998. Even with a wonderful career at The Sydney Morning Herald and a home at Bondi Beach, the seduction of the Big Apple’s cultural, political and intellectual life proved irresistible. As a journalist there, she has profile leaders in the arts, entertainment and design; worked for many years as a news editor and reporter, and as Managing Editor for legendary editor Tina Brown, whose Women in the World summits vigorously promote the empowerment of women and girls. Pip currently lives in a fire-storey Italianate brownstone in Brooklyn, whose convivial residents are all philosophers and writers (and cats). As lovely as that is, there’s no place that warms her ardently Australian soul likes summer weekends on a sand spit in the middle of the ocean, in the tiny community of Lonelyville, Fire Island.
