Claude Monet (French, 1840–1926) brought his painterly eye and exceptional creativity to the French Impressionism movement as well as to the flower gardens at his home in Giverny, outside Paris. Thanks to a 1980s restoration, the gardens are as radiant today as they were in Monet’s time. Photographer and horticultural designer Elizabeth Murray assisted with the restoration, and she returns regularly to capture the gardens’ ongoing splendor. A detailed description accompanies each photograph in this small, sumptuous calendar.
